Dear Editor:

As a transplant to the Boothbay region (moved here about ten years ago), I have never needed to call upon our ambulance service until a few days ago. I want to thank everyone in the ambulance crew that helped me and give so much of themselves to our community for our comfort and well-being. I am incredibly humble and grateful for the care and compassion I received during my time of need; their level of professionalism in stressful situations is amazing.

Our community should take great comfort and pride in our ambulance service; they genuinely care about the work they do. We often take so many things for granted until we need them.
