Dear Editor:

The Midcoast Friends Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends are deeply opposed to the policy of separating children from their parents when they arrive in this country as refugees seeking asylum.

A copy of this letter signed by those in attendance this day is being hand delivered to the offices of our two United States Senators. The Meeting asks all those in the community so concerned to similarly communicate their views to the press and to those in government responsible for this policy.
