Dear Editor:

 

I am writing to salute a growing positive institution within our community - the Boothbay Region Health Center.  My wife and I have utilized with great satisfaction the services of the prior health care provider at the Center location since our arrival in this special community in 2003.

 

Since the establishment of the Boothbay Region Health Center, excellent health care has greatly expanded and improved availability of skills and superior services.  This non-profit community lead facility, on limited resources, has reached out to our entire community with professional care regardless of economic means, while expanding services in all primary care aspects of a complete health care center.

 

As noted, the Center has relied on limited financial resources in continuing to improve health care in our community.  To continue in this improvement, the Boothbay Health Care Center is presently engaged in a matching gift fund raiser that can provide up to a $100,000 match to all donations between now and Dec. 15.  While the Center is well short of the maximum, if we as a community join together, we can significantly increase our local level of caring, professional services that will benefit everyone.  Please join us in giving whatever is financially possible to enhance our community based, non-profit, health care services.  Thank you as a patient/client of the Center in joining us in this effort.
