Most everyone would agree that Mother Nature is amazing. In this particular instance, the cucumber plant sends out a spiral enabling it to climb up a trellis that has been provided by either a gardener or nature.

Folks need not do anything except plant the plant, water it, maybe add some organic fertilizer and watch as the yellowest yellow flowers blossom, the bees pollinate, the cukes protrude from the flowers, the spirals vine up the trellis bringing flowers, leaves and cukes along with it and voila! a batch of cucumbers mature to be enjoyed in salads or, sinfully, in a bowl of sour cream.

What more can one ask for!
