The Old Orchard Beach Seagulls scored early and often to defeat the visiting Boothbay Region Seahawks 48-14 in the conference final of the Maine Principals Association’s eight-man football league in OOB Friday night, Nov. 8.

It was the third time the teams had played each other with each team winning on their home field. Boothbay beat OOB 46-30 on Sept. 14 and OOB won the Oct. 25 rematch 44-30.

Boothbay finishes the season at 5-5 and OOB improved to 7-3. The Seagulls, champions of the small eight-man conference, will play for the eight-man championship Nov. 16 against the large division winner, Mt. Ararat. The Eagles defeated Maranacook 36-14 Friday night.
