Wow, what a whirlwind of activities here on the Point last week; there was surely something for everyone.

Thank you to the following individuals who chaired an activity: David Butterworth, the BRCRC presentation; Lisa Rush, Tennis Scramble; Barb, Jeff, Rich, Stephanie, Roger and Lisa Slayton the Pasta Dinner; Donna Logan, the Food Sale; Alex Hall, the Pancake Breakfast; the Danas, Whitehouses and Browns, the Porch Party and Link Brown, the Memorial Golf Tournament; Marilyn Heise, Carol Palmer and Pat McHold, the vintage photo weekend and of course the many, many volunteers for each event.

Team Rush defeated Team Dawson in an epic slugfest 15-11 in last Sunday’s softball game.

We have an amazing group of young people here at the Ocean Point. Not only are they enjoying every moment of every day but also they take the time to help others in many ways. Recently Rich Slayton had a truckload of flooring delivered for his new house and many of the kids who happened to be in the area at the time pitched in to help unload the truck! They were treated to donuts and lemonade as a thank you. Steph and Rich are grateful to the following individuals: Jefferson, Caroline, Luke and Dylan Driscoll, Jonathan and Luke Yerrall, Luke and Zach Arnpriester, Kyle Rush, Al Dawson, Brennan Houston, Sydney Hendereck and Charlie and Miles Slayton.

It was such a pleasure to meet some of our newest members of Ocean Point over the holiday weekend; Annie and Matt Berg were here with new baby Lennie and Joe and Anna Rose Shea were visiting with new baby Will.

If you happen to be driving on 96 between Middle Road and Van Horn a word of caution regarding the deer. I personally have spotted several standing on the side of the road at various times during the day, you definitely do not want to have a run in with a deer!

Have a great week!
