Obsessed with revenge

    Dear Editor:

    Apparently, not all Black lives matter to the organization claiming sentiment to the same name.

    Here are the names of five Black Americans who were murdered during what Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker calls “large public gatherings” as a result of the killing of George Floyd. (BrietbartNN and KRON4):

    Dave Patrick Underwood, 53, federal officer in Oakland, California fatally shot May 29 while trying to keep the peace during riots there;

    David Dorn, 77, retired police captain, St. Louis, Missouri shot and killed, June 1 by looters in a pawn shop;

    Italia Marie Kelly, 22, Davenport, Iowa, May 31, killed instantly from a gunshot while attempting to leave a protest;

    David McAffee, 53, shot and killed June 1 while trying to clear a crowd at a riot;

    Chris Beaty, 38, real estate broker, Indianapolis, Indiana. He was trying to stop two thieves from robbing two women of their purses; they shot and killed him.

    Where and when were the Al Sharpton delivered speeches eulogizing these lives?

    Where were the candlelight vigils, the marches, the huge demonstrations in honor of these grievously missed family members?

    What are the titles of the new government programs named after their efforts in life?

    Are the activists community leaders, public servants or business owners, as the aforementioned were?

    Do they love this country or do they just vow to destroy?

    Already, governors and mayors throughout, are “defunding the police” while standing to strip all of our Second Amendment rights, rendering the entire country “riot defenseless”… as are the demands of these violent groups. In my mind, these people do not seek justice at all, they only cultivate and are obsessed with revenge.

    Let Seattle be a reminder of what will happen if we all just bend a little and surrender to evil.
