News and notes from the Community Center
Summer brings beautiful weather, beach days, barbecues, visitors, and plenty of outdoor fun. As the season arrives, some of our programs at the Community Center are taking a short break to enjoy everything Boothbay Harbor has to offer. These include Ladies Who Love to Dance, Qigong, Tech Help with Bethany, and Healing Hearts. All of them will return in September/October—so stay tuned!
No need to worry—our regular daily games continue each week, offering fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Whether you're a regular or new to the group, there's always a seat for you at the table! Not into games? How about a cup of coffee and an engaging conversation? Stop by and meet our wonderful volunteers—here all week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A big thank-you to everyone who supported our Windjammer Days 50/50 raffle! Congratulations to the winner, Karrisa Fabin from Haydenville, Massachusetts.
We also sincerely thank Pam Utley, Francine Rhondina, Jim Jellison, and Andy Cozzi for representing the Community Center and Ladies Who Love to Dance in the Windjammer Days parade. Pam shared that it was a lot of fun!
We regret to inform you that fresh vegetables from Veggies to the Table will no longer be available at The Community Center on Fridays. Free food is still available at the Community Fridge at the Boothbay Town Office, through Food for Thought via the Community Resource Council, at the YMCA, and at several other locations around town.
