We are writing this on the third day of Christmas and are still very much “in the season” at the Community Center. Our boutique is filled with special gift items if you want to give a certain person in your life a trinket on the fourth, fifth, etc. day of Christmas. We do not carry geese or pipers or dancing ladies but we do have beautiful scarves and hats as well as unique collectibles and gently used one-of-a-kind treasures. Items could also be purchased and put away for next year.

We are currently raffling off an adult tryke. More accurately, it is a street bike with three wheels and a rather large carrying basket on the rear. You must see it. Raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10.

We continue to collect warm winter clothing for those in need. Your response has been overwhelming and we thank you. There is a new wave of asylum seekers coming in from warm countries like Angola who have never experienced a Maine winter and we have our own people who can use a warm hug from a coat or scarf or boots. Donation boxes can be found in the hall outside our door and in various other locations around town.
