Calling all bakers! We need baked goods — pies, cakes, muffins, breads, etc. for the Thanksgiving Pie/Bake Sale. The turnout this year has been great, but we can always use more. The sale is Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. until 5:30. Also, during that day, we will be selling a huge collection of David Winter Cottages at very reasonable prices. One stop shopping — you can buy your Thanksgiving dessert and a Christmas present or two. Please call in and let us know if you plan to bring a pie or other baked item.

Our “fearless leader” has challenged us to collect 1,000 coats to help keep everyone in Maine warm this winter. To that end, we have placed collection boxes in the hall outside our door and we look to you to help fill the boxes. We are reaching out to seniors of limited income, the homeless, and those who seek shelter in our great state. This includes men, women and children. Please do not throw good, clean winter clothing away. You can choose to give it locally by using the blue bin at the transfer station or you can throw it our way and we will see that someone who is in need receives the love from Boothbay Harbor.

During the Friday night open game night we will run a movie in the craft room. Those who want to get out and have some coffee, tea, and treats can also watch a movie with friends.

We take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We will be closed Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th so that our staff and friends may celebrate with family.
