New art by George Mason, studio sale

Event has passed

Featuring a new body of work, “Love Letters: Art for the Envelope," Nobleboro -based artist George Mason welcomes the holiday with an Open House and Studio Sale on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 16,  10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 123 Borland Hill Rd.
Mason has been enjoying heart warming exchanges with friends and strangers by simply sending out small art offerings in padded envelopes.
“In this time when the letter has been all but lost, it is such a surprise and delight to receive and hold in your hand, a little missive intended just for you."
Mason’s studio home, just around the corner from Alewives Fabrics, was once the Methodist Church in Damariscotta Mills. Built in 1854 “the Yellow Church” provides generous light filled spaces for viewing both small and large work, as well as enjoying food and refreshments.
