Dear Editor:

Summer is almost here with both bicyclists and pedestrians descending upon the area. Route 96 from Van Horne Road to Grimes Cove is a favorite for exercise around Ocean Point but a dangerous stretch with little or no paved shoulder.

Please, MDOT, make plans to include this improvement in a near term project for our public safety.
