Marjorie Wayne Marr, 82, passed away March 14, 2019 at the St. Andrews Gregory Wing in Boothbay Harbor.

She was born on July 25, 1936 to Everard and Myrtle Spinney. Marjorie grew up in Boothbay and attended local schools.

While in school she played basketball and softball, was involved in the Senior Minstrel Show, and was a member the chorus. She graduated from the Boothbay Region High School Class of 1954.

Marjorie was a CNA for St. Andrews Hospital and also did housekeeping at St. Andrews Hospital as well. She attended the Boothbay Baptist church and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed going to the White Mountains and Santa’s Village with her husband George. They shared 28 wonderful years of marriage.

She was predeceased by her husband George W. Marr, brother Millard Spinney, and sister Anne Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy L. Orne and husband John of Edgecomb, Maine; son, Richard Teague of Edgecomb; stepson, Alan Marr and wife Dee of Albuquerque, New Mexico; stepdaughter, Cathy Badger and husband Ronald, and sister Reta Treall of Abbington, Massachusetts; granchildren, April Garza and husband Pompoza, Crystal Cotham and husband Victor, Jimmy Main and wife Nicole, and Erik Main, Jason Marr, Brandy Hetherington and husband Sean; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday March 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hall’s Funeral Home, 975 Wiscasset Rd, Boothbay. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
