Marines celebrate 250th birthday
Tue, 11/11/2025 - 12:00pm
The 250th U.S. Marine Corps birthday was held at Brady's Monday, Nov. 10 with what organizer Jim Singer declared as the largest turnout they have had in years. Twenty Marines gathered and enjoyed camaraderie, stories, and a meal prepared by Ben Bickford of Spruce Point Inn. The traditional cutting of the birthday cake by saber was executed by the oldest and youngest in attendance. The entire group enjoyed a video posted by the Marine Corp Commandant in honor of the 250th birthday. A group picture at the end was followed by all singing the Marine Corp Hymn.
