A high-scoring game went in favor of the visitors as the Oceanside Mariners defeated the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 70-48, at Porter Memorial Gymnasium, BRHS, on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 10.

The Mariners jumped out to a 23-8 first quarter lead and kept Boothbay from getting any momentum the rest of the way with its outside shooting.

Senior Glory Blethen had an outstanding game for Boothbay, scoring 32 points, including three 3-pointers.

The Mariners’ Audrey Mackie was also outstanding, scoring 25 points and canning seven 3-pointers. Also scoring in double figures for Oceanside were Anna Kingsbury with 15 (five 3-pointers) and Grace Woodman with 10 (two 3-pointers).

Also scoring for Boothbay were Jaelyn Crocker with six points, while Kylie Brown and Emilie Crocker each scored four.
