MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital Community Meeting
Don't miss the next Community Meeting on Friday, Dec. 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Watson Center Community Room, in Damariscotta.
Join host Cindy Wade for an informative hour during which there will be presentations from some talented MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital staff.
Jennifer Bryce, M.A. and a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist, will give a presentation on memory loss entitled Memory Changes: What’s Normal, What’s Not? Know the signs, stay informed. Normal aging includes mild changes in memory, whereas Alzheimer's and other types of dementia cause persistent, disruptive symptoms that affect daily life. Early detection is key. Early diagnosis allows for improved treatment options and beneficial planning and support.
Amanda Millay, RN, diabetes educator, will talk about diabetes and why diabetes education is so important. She will discuss how our Diabetes Program can help you take control of your health, what the program offers, and the support available, including education, tools, and caring professionals who are here to guide you every step of the way.
Melissa Brown, RN, manager of Infusion Services and IV Therapy at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital, will talk about the Infusion and Oncology Center and the scope of services that are provided there. Get an update on the new Infusion Center currently under construction on the 3rd floor of MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital. This new center will double our capacity to treat patients close to home and will include a new Oncology Suite located across the hall.
It is sure to be an informative morning. There will be time for questions.
