Trina Ragan of Boothbay will be reading her children’s book, “Shadow,” to local children at the Coastal Bounty Barn on Route 27/409 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.

“Shadow,” is about a crayon who is “born” different than all the others and goes through trials of being bullied. There will also be a couple of preteens who will be dressed up as a couple of the characters in the book.

Hot cocoa and other treats will be served.
