Lincoln Medical Partners offers drive-through flu clinics

Tue, 09/22/2020 - 10:15am

Lincoln Medical Partners will be holding drive-through flu clinics every weekend in October. The clinic is open to anyone over age 7 – you do not have to be a Lincoln Medical Partners’ patient to participate.

Clinics will be held at the Respiratory Care Clinic in the Webster Van Winkle building on the Miles Campus in Damariscotta and in the Family Care Center at 19 St. Andrews Lane in Boothbay. Hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays at each location.

The process is simple. Patients will pull into line at the clinic. At the first stop, they will complete some paperwork and be asked a few questions. The flu shot will be received at the second stop.
It would be helpful if patients wear a short-sleeved shirt for easier access.

Please bring your insurance card. Lincoln Medical Partners accepts all insurances with the exception of TriCare.

If you cannot make these clinics or have a child under age 7 you would like to have vaccinated, appointments can be made at any of the Lincoln Medical Partners offices on the following days and times:

Boothbay Harbor: Every Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Family Care Center, 19 St. Andrews Lane. Call 633-7820 for an appointment

Damariscotta: Monday, Oct. 12, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, 8 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Oct. 27, 5 to 7 p.m., at the Watson Health Center, 24 Miles Center Way. Call 563-4250 for an appointment

The flu vaccine is recommended for everyone six months of age or older. Last year, at least 410,000 people were hospitalized with the flu and at least 62,000 people died from the virus. The vaccine is one way to improve your health and reduce the burden on the healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic.
