Residents gathered in the backyard at the home of Lincoln Home’s Executive Director, Lynn Norgang. Greeted by yellow lab, Camden, The Lincoln Home bus arrived with several residents, caregivers, colorful chairs, tents, and equipment to make sure everyone’s needs would be met. A few of the residents were excited to drive their own cars for the first time in a number of months.
Beautiful fields, flower gardens and a gorgeous summer day made a perfect backdrop for a lovely picnic of lobster rolls, potato salad, lemonade, fresh peaches, homemade blueberry cake and ice cream. Lynn’s husband, Tom, a beekeeper, shared some fun facts and stories about his bees. The residents had fun tasting the difference between creamed honey and liquid honey. Everyone was enthusiastic to be outside enjoying a lovely summer excursion. As always, the staff went above and beyond to make the outing safe, and fun for all.
