The Lincoln Home celebrating 95 years

Summer events to raise money for a new roof
Wed, 03/09/2022 - 10:00am

This year The Lincoln Home, a non-profit, independent and assisted living community, celebrates 95 years of serving seniors and our Lincoln County community. We could not do this without the collaboration and support of individuals, families and business members. The Lincoln Home has grown and evolved to meet the wide variety of needs, expectations and changes the last century has brought. Additions and modifications have been implemented to support a lifestyle for Vibrant Seniors. What remains a constant, is our level of individualized, compassionate caregiving in a home like setting. Residents, family and associates continue to say what sets our extraordinary community apart, is the feeling of family we share, and staff that go above and beyond.

Save these dates to Help Us Celebrate our 95th Birthday. On July 14, The Boneheads will perform an outdoor evening concert with dancing on our lawn overlooking the River. Delicious offerings from The Salty Boyz and Blazing Tomato food trucks, oysters, ice cream and drinks will be available for purchase.

On Saturday evening, Aug. 20, we will host our big 95th Birthday Bash with a Roaring 20s Lawn Party. Dance to The Boneheads, enjoy a Champagne Toast, delicious Nosh foods, cash bar, games, a fun photo booth, and Silent Auction. We encourage 1920’s dress to add to the flavor of the evening, and to honor the year we were founded, 1927.

Friday evening, Sept. 23, we host The Don Campbell Band for an outdoor concert by the river with dancing on our lawn. Once again, The Salty Boyz and Blazing Tomato food trucks, oysters, ice cream and cash bar will be offered.

Our building needs a new roof. This year, donations and proceeds from our 2022 Summer Celebrations will help to purchase the bundles of shingles we need to replace our aging roof. We are reaching out to the community to consider a sponsorship of the three events. Visit our website, www.lincoln-home.org/special events for more information on events, sponsorship opportunities, to purchase event tickets or make a donation by buying a bundle for $300 or Half bundle for $150. All proceeds and sponsorships from our summer events will go to helping us Raise the Roof. All donations are 100% tax deductible and ensure our sustainability. The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, Newcastle.
