Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Two arrests

    The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 178 calls for service for the period of Dec. 20 to Dec. 28. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 10,581 calls for service.

    Summonses

    Michael E. Benner, 33, of Brunswick was issued a summons Dec. 20 for Driving to Endanger, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Detective Jared Mitkus.

    Charles W. Keller, 54, of Nobleboro was issued a summons Dec. 20 for Violating Condition of Release, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Reserve Deputy Trevor Roche, who was assisted by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

    Nathaniel H. Jones, 39, of Westport Island was issued a summons Dec. 22 for Failure to Submit to Finger Printing, on Main Road, Westport Island, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

    Blaine J. Grant, 37, of Brewer was issued a summons Dec. 23 for Assault on an Officer, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Scott Solorzano.

    Johnny Hinton, 37, of Dresden was issued a summons Dec. 23 for Operating Vehicle without a License, on Patterson Road, Dresden, by Deputy Owen Beattie.

    Suzanne M. Gardner, 56, of Rockland was issued a summons Dec. 24 for Attaching False Plates, on Rockland Road, Somerville, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.

    Arlene E. Shea, 75, of Pittston was issued a summons Dec. 27 for Operating Vehicle without a License, on Vigue Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Samuel Alexander.

    Arrests

    Charles W. Keller, 54, of Nobleboro was arrested Dec. 21 for Domestic Assault – Priors and Violating Condition of Release, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Ethan Burns.

    Christopher D. McInnis, II, 36, of Whitefield was arrested Dec. 24 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Mills Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Owen Beattie.

    Accidents

    On Dec. 20, an accident occurred on U.S. Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Augustus Ruggieri, 65, of Warren. Mr. Ruggieri was operating his 2015 Toyota Rav4 northbound when a deer entered the roadway and struck his vehicle, causing damage to the front passenger corner of his vehicle. Reserve Deputy Trevor Roche was the investigating officer.

    On Dec. 21, an accident occurred on Jones Woods Road in Newcastle involving David Beaucage, 77, of Damariscotta. Mr. Beaucage was operating his 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound, when he came around a curve, and he was blinded by oncoming headlights and went off the roadway. As a result, his vehicle became stuck on a log, causing damage to the undercarriage. Deputy Matthew Ryan was the investigating officer.

    On Dec. 23, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Jefferson involving Jenna W. Heath, 28, of Windsor. Ms. Heath was operating her 2020 Hyundai Kona northbound when a tree branch fell and hit her windshield. Deputy Owen Beattie was the investigating officer.

    On Dec. 24, an accident occurred on Barters Island Road in Boothbay involving Barbara G. Horton, 79, of Boothbay. Ms. Horton was operating her 2021 Subaru Outback eastbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and was struck, causing functional damage to the front of her vehicle. Deputy Samuel Alexander was the investigating officer.

    On Dec. 25, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Harry A. Farmer III, 35, of East Boothbay. Mr. Farmer was operating his 2008 Toyota Corolla northbound when he struck a patch of ice on a corner, went up a curb and struck a staircase. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.

    On Dec. 26, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Newcastle involving Robert B. Cyphers, 55, of Augusta. Mr. Cyphers was operating his 2013 Ford Explorer southbound when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy Kasey Doyle was the investigating officer.
