Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Three arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 162 calls for service for the period of Feb. 18 to Feb. 25. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,641 calls for service.

Arrests

Hector R. Bohan, 30, of Whitefield was arrested Feb. 18 for Violating Condition of Release, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.

Dee McInnis, 35, of Somerville was arrested Feb. 19 on a Kennebec County warrant for Failure to Appear, on Hewett Road, Somerville, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

Ronald J. Labonty, 50, of Newcastle was arrested Feb. 22 on a Violation of Bail warrant and Violating Condition of Release, on West Hamlet Road, Newcastle, by Deputy David Bellows.

Summons

A 17-year-old male juvenile from Waldoboro was issued a summons Feb. 19 for Criminal Mischief, in Bristol, by Detective Ryan Chubbuck.

Accidents

On Feb. 18, an accident occurred on State Route 32 in Bristol involving George Wilmot, 84, of Bristol. Mr. Wilmot was operating his 2006 Dodge Caravan southbound when he lost control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway on the left side and struck a tree. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 18, an accident occurred on Pension Ridge Road in Boothbay involving Jeremy A. Holbrook, 21, of Boothbay. Mr. Holbrook was operating his 2006 Chevrolet 1500 southbound and due to driving too fast for the road conditions, he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to swerve and strike a tree, before coming to rest off the road. Deputy Caleb Fortin was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 18, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Robin B. Glassman, 68, of Hallowell. Ms. Glassman was operating her 2005 Subaru Forester southbound and due to road conditions, she slid off the ditch in the northbound lane and landed in a stream. Detective Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 19, an accident occurred on Heath Road in Whitefield involving Alexander D. Jackson, 17, of Whitefield. Mr. Jackson was operating his 2000 Ford Ranger eastbound when he went off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 19, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving Amber L. Heaton, 21, of Dresden. Ms. Heaton was operating her 2012 Jeep Liberty southbound and due to road conditions, she hit slush and traveled into the northbound lane, striking the guardrail and flipping onto its side. Detective Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 19, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Whitefield involving Tabatha M. Gray, 43, of Jefferson. Ms. Gray was operating her 2013 Chrysler 200 westbound when she was unable to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway. Sgt. Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 21, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Newcastle involving Annie Laurita, 58, of Hope and Ralph R. Ferguson, 77, of Bristol. Ms. Laurita, who was operating her 2015 Honda Fit, approached the stop sign at the Route 1 Newcastle off ramp, at the intersection of Mills Road. Laurita failed to stop at the stop sign and as a result, she struck Mr. Ferguson’s 2009 Toyota Corolla in the passenger side. Ferguson was operating his vehicle northbound on Mills Road and swerved to try to avoid Laurita’s vehicle, however, was unable to avoid contact. Sgt. Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 21, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Maryellen M. True, 27, of Woolwich and Constance L. Peacock, 59, of Richmond. Ms. Peacock had stopped her 2007 Ford Focus and was preparing to make a left turn onto Blinn Hill Road. Ms. True was operating her 2019 Ford Ranger behind Peacock’s vehicle when she took her eyes off the road to look at her instrument panel, which was indicating a notification and making a beeping noise and struck Peacock’s vehicle in the back.  Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer 

On Feb. 22, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Alexander L. Smith, 21, of Edgecomb. Mr. Smith was operating his 2018 Ford F150 southbound when he began to go off the roadway and drive on the shoulder. As a result, his vehicle struck a utility pole and sheared it off, before coming to rest in a ditch. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Allan S. Gustafson, 49, of Somerville. Mr. Gustafson was operating his 2012 Subaru Forester eastbound when he went off the roadway, where he struck a mailbox, rock and tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
