Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 284 calls for service from June 18 through June 24. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 7,807 calls for service.
On June 21, Deputy David Bellows received a report of a theft of 100’ fiberglass fence post and wire (approximately $300) in the Nobleboro area. The complainant stated the fence was last seen the morning of June 19. Further investigation if leads develop.
Elizabeth H. Cunningham, 47, of Waldoboro was issued a summons June 19 for Theft, on Medomak Terrace, Waldoboro, by Det. Scott Hayden.
Silvia M. Adames-Estrella, 20, of Providence, Rhode Island, was issued a summons for Motor Vehicle Speeding: 30+ MPH over speed limit, on US Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
Robert J. Didonato, 20, of Portland was arrested June 20 on a York County District Court warrant for Burglary, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy David Bellows.
Travis M. Chapman, 45, of Edgecomb was arrested June 20 for Domestic Violence Assault and Obstructing Report of Crime, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
Timothy P. Simmons, 57, of Nobleboro was arrested June 23 for Operating under the Influence, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
On June 20, an accident occurred on Nash Lane in Jefferson involving Jennifer L. Houghton, 44, of Windsor. Ms. Houghton had parked her 2003 Pontiac Vibe on the side of the roadway, facing westbound, at the top of the hill, set the parking brake and left her vehicle. The parking brake did not hold the vehicle in place and as a result it rolled down the hill, where is driver’s side tires entered the ditch, continued around a corner and struck a tree. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On June 23, an accident occurred on South Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield involving Alan Gregory, 55, of Whitefield. Mr. Gregory was operating his 2009 Toyota Tacoma northbound when a deer crossed the road in front of his vehicle and was struck, causing damage to the front passenger corner and headlight. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
