Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Six arrests

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 185 calls for service from Oct. 30 through Nov. 6. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 14,284 calls for service.

Arrests

Taylor J. Lewis, 25, of Southport Island was arrested Nov. 1 for Violating Condition of Release, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Kevin D. Lee, 58, of Newcastle was arrested Nov. 1 for Disorderly Conduct and Violating Condition of Release, on Academy Hill, Newcastle, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.

Davis Crowell, 27, of Waldoboro was arrested Nov. 1 on a Kennebec County District Court warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

A 16-year-old male juvenile from Boothbay Harbor was arrested Nov. 2 for Aggravated Assault on Southport Island, by Deputy Andrew Miner, who was assisted by Sgt. Aaron Beck.

Brycen C. Bennett-Nein, 23, of Westport Island was arrested Nov. 2 for Operating under the Influence, on Bath Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Ronald Weeks, 62, of Jefferson was arrested Nov. 5 for Violating Condition of Release, on Weeks Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Accidents

On Oct. 31, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Briana L. Rideout, 21, of Whitefield. Ms. Rideout was operating her 2003 Pontiac Sunfire southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and was struck, causing damage to the front of the vehicle. Deputy Andrew Miner was the investigating officer.

On Oct. 31, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Evangeline R. Margaritis, 19, of Newcastle. Ms. Margaritis was operating her 2006 Nissan Pathfinder eastbound when a deer entered the roadway from the west side and was struck with the front of her vehicle. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 2, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Gary Arsenault, 64, of Boothbay. Mr. Arsenault was operating his 2012 Chevrolet truck southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and was struck. Deputy Andrew Miner was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 3, an accident occurred on Route 27 in Edgecomb involving Hailey Main, 20, of Boothbay. Ms. Main was operating her 2011 Nissan Juke southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the west side and struck the passenger door and fender of her vehicle. Deputy Andrew Miner was the investigating officer.

On Nov. 5, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Briana L. Rideout, 21, of Whitefield. Ms. Rideout was operating her 2003 Pontiac Sunfire southbound when she attempted to avoid a rabbit in the roadway. As a result, she swerved to the left and into the northbound lane where she over-corrected and entered the ditch on the south side of the roadway. Her vehicle then dug into the embankment and flipped over onto its roof. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
