Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Seven accidents Dec. 28

Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 337 calls for service between Dec. 27 and Jan. 3. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 16,846 calls for service.

Summonses

Thomas P. Montuori, 39, of Bristol was issued a summons Dec. 29 for Unauthorized Dissemination of Private Images, on Poor Farm Road, Bristol, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Devin W. Coffin, 35, of Boothbay was issued a summons Dec. 30 for Criminal Mischief, on Townsend Avenue, Boothbay, by Deputy Alonzo Connor.

Thomas P. Montuori, 39, of Bristol was issued a summons Dec. 31 for Unauthorized Dissemination of Private Images, on Poor Farm Road, Bristol, by Deputy Andrew Miner.

Arrests

Tyler T. Geyer, 30, of Bristol was arrested Dec. 11 for Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence), on Indian Trail, Bristol, by Detective Jared Mitkus.

Walter R. Fossett, 39, of Newcastle was arrested Dec. 28 on two Lincoln County District Court warrants for Failure to Appear, on Hopkins Hill Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.

Ronald M. House, 40, of South Bristol was arrested Dec. 29 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Split Rock Road, South Bristol, by Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles.

Accidents

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on Main Street in Damariscotta involving Jake B. Traylor, 18, of Westport Island. Mr. Traylor was operating his 2001 BMW 3-series northbound when he stated he fell asleep and crossed the centerline. His vehicle struck the guardrail and then re-entered the roadway and continued down the road before stopping. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Abigail E. Thompson, 20, of Edgecomb. Ms. Thompson was operating her 2002 Ford Ranger northbound when she went off the roadway on the right side, slid into a utility pole, where her vehicle came to final rest. Her vehicle sustained driver’s side damage. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Whitney Hurley, 35, of Dresden. Ms. Hurley was operating her 2006 Ford Ranger southbound when she went off the roadway on the left side, hit a tree and came to final position on the left side in a ditch. Her vehicle sustained passenger side damage. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Susan E. James, 52, of Edgecomb and Mark W. Bartle, 49, of Newcastle. Mr. Bartle was operating his 2006 Toyota Highlander northbound and stopped to make a left turn into Mike’s Place. Ms. James was operating her 2005 Toyota Corolla behind Bartle’s vehicle and rear-ended his vehicle while Bartle was trying to turn left. Bartle was using his left hand signal and James was following too close to stop. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on West Alna Road in Alna involving Kacy J. Gold, 35, of Wiscasset. Ms. Gold was operating his 2009 Ford Fusion southbound when she went off the road on the right side into a field, where her vehicle came to rest against a fence. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on River Road in Edgecomb involving Melanie A. Groneng, 56, of Edgecomb. Ms. Groneng was operating her 2012 Subaru Forester southbound when she lost control of her vehicle and began sliding off the roadway. She then over corrected and went off the east side of the road, rolled down the bank and into the woods, before coming to a stop with her vehicle upside down. Deputy Andrew Miner was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 28, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Gabrielle L. Gile, 26, of Kingfield. Ms. Gile was operating her 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche northbound when she slid off the right side of the roadway due to icy road conditions. The center passenger side of her vehicle then struck a telephone pole. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 29, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Charles H. Tisdale, 32, of Pittston. Mr. Tisdale was operating his 2008 Chevrolet Impala westbound when he lost control of his vehicle while traveling down a hill and slid into a ditch. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 29, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Joseph A Rideout, 48, of Bridgton. Mr. Rideout was operating his 207 Subaru Impreza westbound when he slid down a hill, crossed the center lane and ended up in a ditch on the left side of the road. Deputy Alonzo Connor was the investigating officer.

On Dec. 31, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Stephen E. Perkins, 64, of Edgecomb. Mr. Perkins was operating his 2003 Ford F150 southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east side and ran into the driver’s side door of his vehicle. Deputy Andrew Miner was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 1, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Stormy R. Norman, 30, of Augusta. Ms. Norman was operating her 2007 Dodge Caravan eastbound when she slid off the roadway and into a ditch. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On Jan. 1, an accident occurred on Upper Round Pond Road in Bristol involving Michael A. Sigler, 23, of Bristol. Mr. Sigler was operating his 2007 GMC Sierra westbound towards Bristol Road when his vehicle approached a turn that was on a slope and he began to slide, due to snow. As a result, he lost control of his vehicle, slide into the ditch, and struck a tree. His vehicle sustained significant damage to the front. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
