Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Nicholas J.H. Stoddard, 24, of Whitefield was arrested Aug. 21 for Domestic Violence Assault and Domestic Violence Terrorizing, on Clark Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.
On Aug. 21, a vehicle was left unattended on the Hunts Meadow Road in Whitefield facing southbound and partially blocking the northbound travel lane. After attempting to contact the registered owner to no avail, the vehicle was towed. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 19, an accident occurred on Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol involving James R. Poland, 83, of Round Pond. Mr. Poland was operating his 1998 Ford F150 when he was making a right turn and a bottled water fell over. Poland attempted to grab the bottle and went off the side of the roadway, striking an old CMP pole. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 21, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving David R. Webb, 46, of Rockland and Kevin C. Meaney, 51, of Woburn, Massachusetts. Mr. Webb was operating his 2014 Mazda 3 southbound behind Mr. Meaney’s 2005 Cadillac Escalade, when Mr. Meaney slowed in traffic. As a result, the front of Webb’s vehicle impacted the rear of Meaney’s vehicle. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 21, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Christine L. Ardans, 22, of Portland. Ms. Ardans was operating her 2014 Chevrolet Captiva eastbound and as she was rounding a corner, which she was not familiar with, she lost control, as the curve was sharper than she anticipated. As a result, her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and into the dirt. She then over-corrected and caused the vehicle to roll over and come to rest on the left side, in the eastbound travel lane. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 22, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Brian G. Westhaver, 48, of Nobleboro. Mr. Westhaver was operating his 2006 Chevrolet 1500 northbound on Route 129 when a deer crossed in front of him and he struck the deer. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.
