Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Nine arrests

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 362 calls between July 23 and July 30. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 8,899 calls for service.

Summonses

Robert R. Melotto, 52, of Livermore Falls was issued a summons July 23 for Assault, on Twin Cove Lane, Damariscotta, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

A 15-year-old female juvenile from Woolwich was issued a summons July 28 for Minor Possessing Liquor (consumption), on Wawenock Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

A 16-year-old male juvenile from Edgecomb was issued a summons July 28 for Minor Consuming Liquor, on Wawenock Road, Edgecomb, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

A 15-year-old female juvenile from Wiscasset was issued a summons July 28 for Minor Consuming Liquor, on Wawenock Road, Edgecomb, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

Daniel E. Reny, 45, of Round Pond was issued a summons July 29 for Failure to Report Accident by Quickest Means, on Lower Round Pond Road, Bristol, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.

Arrests

Roger F. Plourde, 20, of Jefferson was arrested July 23 for Violating Condition of Release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

Cormac J. Miller, 24, of Bremen was arrested July 26 for Burglary, Domestic Violence Assault and Assault, on West Side Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Chase Bosse.

Keasha M. Johnson, 18, of Jefferson was arrested July 26 for Burglary and Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, on Hinks Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Andrew Miner.

Timothy S. McGowan, 52, of Lindale, Texas was arrested July 26 on a Sagadahoc County warrant for Failure to Appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

Martin R. Clark-Castillo, 30, of Dresden was arrested July 28 for Domestic Violence Assault and Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Detective Scott Hayden, who was assisted by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

Alison Ludwig, 25, of New York, New York was arrested July 28 for Criminal Threatening, on Fish Point Road, Bristol, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.

Karen L. Erdmann, 51, of Dresden was arrested July 28 for Domestic Violence Assault and Criminal Mischief, on Calls Hill Road, Dresden, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Cody Ring, 20, of West Bath was arrested July 28 on a Probation Hold and Minor Consuming Liquor, on Wawenock Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Caleb Poirier.

Matthew L. Williams, 22, of Phippsburg was arrested July 28on a Sagadahoc County warrant for Failure to Appear, on Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

Accidents

On July 24, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Kyle J. Hartford, 20, of Brunswick. Mr. Hartford was operating his 2007 Lincoln Navigator southbound when he stated he fell asleep and ran off the road, down a ditch and into a tree, causing significant damage to the entire front of the vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.

On July 24, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving David Bilski, 65, of Bristol. Mr. Bilski was backing his 2014 Honda CRV in the Standard of Newcastle parking lot when he backed into a guide wire. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On July 24, an accident occurred on Jefferson Road in Whitefield involving David Giampetruzzi, 70, of South China. Mr. Giampetruzzi was operating his 2007 Lexus eastbound when a deer entered the roadway from the left side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On July 25, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Gary Breen, 72, of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania; Anne M. Gabbianelli, 61, of Winterport; and Phillip H. Holmes, 48, of Winterport. Mr. Breen was operating his 2018 Toyota southbound behind Ms. Gabbianelli’s 2005 Toyota Camry, who was behind Mr. Holmes’ 1968 Camper Trailer when Breen stated he mistook the gas for the brake and his foot got caught between the pedals, causing his vehicle to strike the rear of Gabbianelli’s vehicle, which was pushed into the rear of Holmes’ vehicle. Deputy Andrew Miner was the investigating officer.

On July 25, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson involving John P. Meehan, 67, of Jefferson. Mr. Meehan was operating his 2013 Honda CRV northbound when a deer entered the roadway from the right side and was struck. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.

On July 26, an accident occurred on Cross Road in Edgecomb involving Carol A. Johnsen, 82, of Edgecomb and George A. Porter, 76, of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey. Ms. Johnsen had stopped her 2016 Subaru Legacy on Cross Street, at the intersection of Boothbay Road, at the stop sign and was attempting to turn left (southbound) onto Boothbay Road. Mr. Porter was operating his 2015 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Boothbay Road when Johnsen turned left in front of Porter’s vehicle. As a result, the front of Porter’s vehicle struck the front of Johnsen’s vehicle. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On July 26, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Daniel E. Wathen, 79, of Augusta and Stephen Ilari, 61, of Crestwood, Kentucky. Mr. Wathen had stopped his 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS on Sheepscot Road, at the intersection of Route 1, at the stop sign, to turn left (northbound) onto US Route 1. Mr. Ilari was operating his 2019 Subaru Legacy southbound on US Route 1 when he attempted to make a left turn in front of Wathen’s vehicle. As a result, the front of Ilari’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Wathen’s vehicle. Deputy David Bellows was the investigating officer.

On July 27, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Nicole J. Plummer, 45, of Sanford. Ms. Plummer was operating her 2017 Hyundai Elantra southbound when she missed the first entrance to the Boothbay Railway Museum. Ms. Plummer then attempted to slow and turn into the second entrance, however, did not make the turn and went into the ditch. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.

On July 28, an accident occurred on Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol involving Daniel E. Reny, 45, of Round Pond. Mr. Reny was operating his 2014 Toyota Tundra southbound when he swerved to the right to avoid a deer. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway and struck a post. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
