Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Five arrests

    Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following

    The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 164 calls for service for the period of Feb. 2 to Feb. 9. Year to date, LCSO has responded to 1,113 calls for service.

    Summons

    Jacob A. King, 21, of Chelsea was summonsed Feb. 3 for Terrorizing, by Winthrop Police Department on behalf of Deputy Caleb Poirier, for an incident which took place in Boothbay.

    Arrests

    Stephanie Knaus-Tucker, 28, of Boothbay Harbor was arrested Feb. 1 for Domestic Violence Assault, on Break Neck Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.

    William J Addison, 27, of Newcastle was arrested Feb. 1 for Operating under the Influence, on Pond Road, Newcastle, by Sgt. Jared Mitkus.

    Chandra D. Hall, 44, of Vassalboro was arrested Feb. 2 at Two Bridges Regional Jail on a Warrant, by Deputy Jerold Winslow.

    Daniel J. Orff, 35, of Waldoboro was arrested Feb. 5 for Violating Condition of Release on Feyler’s Corner Road, Waldoboro, by Deputy Eze VanBuckley, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

    Jacob C. Rhinebolt, 31, of Wiscasset was arrested Feb. 8 for Assault on Old Dresden Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Caleb Poirier, who was assisted by Sgt. Kevin Dennison.

    Accidents

    On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Grand Army Road in Whitefield involving Marcie J. Abbott, 33, of Jefferson and an Amish Buggy. Ms. Abbott was operating a 2018 Nissan Rogue north when an Amish horse driven carriage failed to yield, making a left turn, without notice. As a result, Ms. Abbot was unable to avoid contact. Sgt. Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.

    On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Jefferson involving Ellen J. Sawyer, 69, of Belfast. Ms. Sawyer was operating a 2011 Toyota Rav4 south when she left the roadway and collided with a tree. Sgt. Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.

    On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Academy Hill in Newcastle involving Garrett J. Day, 17, of Newcastle and Pamela M. Peaslee, 59, of Damariscotta. Ms. Peaslee was stopped for traffic in her 2013 Chevrolet Cruze when Mr. Day, who was operating a 2003 Nissan Xterra, failed to stop and struck her. Lt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.

    On Feb. 1, an accident occurred on Valley Road in Somerville involving Leanne I. Riley, 59, of Washington. Ms. Riley was operating a 2008 Toyota Scion north when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Sgt. Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.

    On Feb. 6, an accident occurred on Split Rock Road in South Bristol involving Robert E. Cushing, 55, of New Harbor. Mr. Cushing was operating a 2011 Chevrolet 3500 east when he lost control, went off the road and struck a tree. Deputy Michael Godin was the investigating officer.

    On Feb. 6, an accident occurred on State Route 129 in South Bristol involving Benjamin Popken, 38, of Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Popken was operating a 2001 Subaru Legacy south when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Deputy Jerold Winslow was the investigating officer.
