The life of Winslow Homer at Lincoln Home

The Lincoln Home welcomes the public to join historian Jerry Wiles on Monday, Dec. 17 from 2 to 3 p.m. for his presentation on Winslow Homer, an American landscape painter and printmaker, best known for his marine subjects. Homer is considered one of the foremost painters in 19th century America and a prominent figure in American art. Largely self-taught, Homer began his career working as a commercial illustrator.
