The Constitution, Article II, Section 4 says the president can be impeached and removed from office for: “Treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Keep it simple and understandable to the American voter.

Trump tried to bribe the president of Ukraine with desperately needed military aid against the Russians to induce Zelensky to collect dirt on Joe Biden, a political opponent.
