John Druce to speak at Rotary’s Veterans Appreciation Dinner Nov. 15
John Druce will be the featured speaker at the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club’s 13th annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner on Nov. 15. For his talk John will draw on his experiences as a young Marine officer in the Pacific theater during World War II.
All veterans and active or reserve service members, as well as Gold Star and Blue star family members, are invited to attend. There is no charge but reservations are requested so that the Club can be sure to accommodate all who wish to participate.
The event, held in the Rotary Clubhouse at 66 Montgomery Road, was initiated by the Club in 2006 to express the community’s gratitude to those who have served our country in the armed forces. The evening will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 and the speaker at 7:30. The program is expected to conclude by 8 p.m.
