Home and Garden Tour information

Tue, 06/25/2019 - 8:00am

    Dear Editor:

Neighbors and visitors, the Boothbay Region Garden Club has announced, and now shares information about our upcoming annual Home and Garden Tour to be held on July 19, 2019.

Since there will be many more visitors to town that day, parking will be available at the High School, then shuttle buses will stop at two designated spots to drop off. There is time to shop, dine, cross our much loved footbridge and take lots of pictures while visiting three lovely Harbor homes.

For the first time, we will have all historical homes, three in the Harbor and three on Southport where there will be parking at the Methodist Church and Town Hall, then busing to our very gracious homeowner’s on the island. Again, there is no parking at the homes for the safety and convenience of our visitors and neighbors.

The Boothbay Region Garden Club was organized in 1931 and we are still beautifying our towns in summer and winter, offering interesting and free programs at our monthly meetings, Garden Therapy at the St. Andrews campus, and to top all, we offer four-year scholarships to qualified students pursuing studies in the natural/earth sciences and camperships at the YMCA.

We hope to see you on our Tour, enjoy yourself and our visitors, maybe make new friends and understand why we try to make this day the most pleasurable for all attending. Tickets can be purchased directly at the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce or the chairpersons listed below.

Hoping for a sunny July 19.
