The Southport Memorial Library is sponsoring a holiday food drive during the month of December to benefit the Boothbay Region Food Pantry.  Non-perishable items may be dropped off at the library during our open hours which are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Thursday evening 6-8.  

The holiday season is a great time to count our blessings and help our neighbors. Needed items include: applesauce, juice, canned protein such as chicken, tuna, salmon, or ham, condiments, nuts, canned fruits and vegetables, sugar, cereal, dried herbs and spices, rice, peanut butter, canned soup/stew/chili, baked beans, cooking oil, pasta and sauce, pancake mix, and shelf stable milk.
