Mark your calendar for another spectacular Bake Sale at the Boothbay Region Historical Society on Saturday, July 27. Stock up on items as varied as Maine blueberry pie to banana nut muffins, brownies, and zucchini bread. There will be cakes and pies galore, cookies to tide you over until you get back home, breads to make your mouth water, and so much more.
Stop by the museum at 72 Oak Street, Boothbay Harbor, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. - or until all the goodies are sold.
As an added perk, you may purchase raffle tickets for one of our two current raffles at $1 each or 6 for $5. We are pleased to offer a framed copy of Robert Mitchell's stunning photo, "Turbulent Sea at Ocean Point," drawing to be Dec. 7. The photograph is handsomely framed in black with an acid-free mat. The framed size is 41” high x 29” wide - see it at the historical society. As a bonus, the winner will receive a copy of the 20th anniversary edition (2020) of Mitchell’s popular “Around Boothbay Harbor” calendar.
Or you may be interested in a two-hour fun ride atop Charlie Bamberg's shiny red 1957 International Pumper Engine Fire Truck, drawing to be Oct. 12. A better idea would be to pick up chances for both raffles!
Anyone interested in baking a treat for this Bake Sale? Call Ann Sutter (207-446-5114), or call the Society (633-0820) Wednesday-Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Society's work in preserving Boothbay Region's history, maintaining the museum and research facilities, and educating the public.
