Hey DHHS, I am that guy

    Dear Editor:

The juggernaut of fear rolls on as our livelihoods are slowly diminished. After shutdown-extension #6, non-elected bureaucrats assault our very minds on the radio.

The Maine DHHS is broadcasting a series of divisive, degrading p.s.a.’s that are designed to turn us against one another and eventually control us. “Don’t be like that guy,” depicts those of us who question authority, don’t believe in hyped-up, Fauci-science as the enemy.

A tax-payed-for campaign called “Keep-It-Maine” down casts, demeans and is totalitarian in nature.

“That guy believes masks don’t work,” Don’t be that guy,” gives all the credit to Maine’s low infection and death numbers to government-sourced confinements. Maine’s numbers are low because we are all healthy, productive, dutiful and we are all fed up with the conjured lies, business closures and insulting manipulations of “the state.”

The radio stations that air this garbage do not even analyze their copy, causing them to become broadcasting prostitutes.

I’ve got news for the DHHS. I am … “that guy.” And, I resent helping to pay for that amateurish castigation that has ambushed my beliefs.

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” --Nelson Mandela
