When Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas joined forces to create the Indiana Jones character, no one realized that Harrison Ford would turn it into one of the most popular characters ever in an action/adventure film. As Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian says, “Steven Spielberg's rollicking adventure yarn still looks buoyant and dashing after 40 years.”
Ford plays Dr. Indiana Jones, a renowned archaeologist and expert in the occult. He is hired by the U.S. Government to find the ark of the covenant, which is believed to still hold the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, Hitler's agents are also after the ark. Indy and his ex-flame Marion (Karen Allen) escape from various close scrapes in a quest that takes them from Nepal to Cairo.
Until we can open later in the summer, Harbor Theater will bring you outdoor entertainment at the Meadow Mall parking lot, Linekin Bay Resort, and the Newagen Inn. Watch for more information in June.
