Andy and Meagan Hamblett of East Boothbay are proud to announce the graduation of their son, Christopher Frost Hamblett, from North Yarmouth Academy, a college preparatory school in Yarmouth, Maine.

Upon graduation, Chris received honors, was a member of the Student Athletic Council and was nominated by his coaches for MVP of the cross country, basketball and lacrosse teams he was integrally a part of during his four years of high school. He was recognized for being a major contributor and captain of the basketball team, state champion lacrosse team and coming in first place for his cross country team in every race from the first of his freshman year to his last race his senior year. Hamblett is the only NYA student athlete in the school’s 207 years to accomplish this feat and was recognized as being long remembered as one of the finest runners to ever wear an NYA uniform. Hamblett was also awarded the fall and winter Athlete of the Year by the Falmouth Forecaster and was a McDonald’s All Star athlete.

This fall, Chris has deferred his acceptance to Plymouth State University and will spend the year on the west coast in San Diego, California. He will attend Palomar College where he will study sports management and hopes to compete on their basketball or lacrosse teams.
