The Hall-Dale Bulldogs outscored the Boothbay Region Seahawks 16-7 in the fourth quarter and scored a go-ahead layup with less than 30 seconds to play to defeat Boothbay, 45-44, at Porter Memorial Gymnasium, BRHS on Monday, Feb. 22.
Boothbay had a chance to score after Hall-Dale went ahead but the scrappy Bulldogs didn’t give the home team a good look at the basket and came away with the ball after a tie-up with 1.2 seconds to play.
The Seahawks (3-6) were led by Glory Blethen with 21 points, followed by Meg Sledge with eight. Meghan Leeman and Jaelyn Crocker each scored four points.
Hall-Dale was paced by Hayden Madore with 19 points, followed by Iris Ireland with eight and K.K. Wills with six.
