Gregory Preserve hike

Discover the history and ecology of Gregory Preserve during a leisurely one mile hike with Boothbay Region Land Trust Environmental Educator Tracey Hall from 10-11 a.m. This loop trail ventures through a varied woodland with lengthy frontage on the Back River, an eastern branch of the Sheepscot River. Hikers can enjoy walking around a small pond bordered by wildflowers and edged with cattails. Bullfrogs and dragonflies revel in this natural habitat, as well as deer, small mammals, and a variety of birds. Group is limited to 10. Walk to follow current CDC Covid guidelines for outside gatherings. Registration required:  thall@bbrlt.org or 633-4818.
