Dear Editor:

Recently, we were vacationing in Boothbay and unfortunately, I had a mishap with my car. Out of the blue, an employee (owner) of Coastal Car Wash Detail Center, came to my rescue. He, along with a person from Southport (who was cleaning his rugs at the car wash) worked tirelessly for at least 30 minutes to free up my car. They were amazing!

My car was not damaged at all and we were able to drive away with no problems. I was so mad at myself about what had happened and so embarrassed, that I did not even ask their names! I just wasn’t thinking straight.

So, I want to say a huge thank you to both of you who helped me. In your honor, we are making a contribution to the Boothbay Region Food Pantry. We hope our contribution helps others as you so kindly and selflessly helped us!
