Food, family, fun … and maybe some fire

Food Trucks A-Go in Boothbay reopens for Memorial Day Weekend on Friday, May 22.

Join us for safer, socially distanced lunch and dinner beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22 and running through Monday, May 25.

“It’s so important for us that our customers and staff have a safe experience at Food Trucks,” said owner Lester Spear. “Restaurants and stores used to put up those, ‘No shirt - No shoes - No service’ signs. Ours are going to say, ‘No pants - No mask - No service’.”

Food will be available for pickup on location, or by delivery or pickup via the new Food Trucks A-Go online ordering system at www.foodtrucksago.com

Opening weekend will feature the launch of The Boneyard, a brand-new food truck operated by Marcel’s Submarine Shop, with chicken wings and drums and more than 20 wing sauce options; lobster rolls, chowder, hot dogs, and grilled cheese by Shannon’s Unshelled; wood-fired pizza with Blazing Tomato; and of course, fresh, kettle-popped corn, homemade fudge, and lemonade courtesy of CC Snack Co.

Food Trucks A-Go is located at 798 Wiscasset Road in Boothbay, across from Adam’s Pond and will be open weekends until mid-June.

While (most of) the Christmas lights display is down, Food Trucks A-Go is keeping the fun, family vibe going with campfires and picnic tables (one household per table!).

Cash will be accepted for now, but Food Trucks A-Go encourages touchless transactions via their app to protect both staff and customers.

“The most important thing is that people know they can come here, get food, get outside, and still stay safe,” Spear said. “We’re going to do everything we can to show people that you can still do the things you love, as long as we all make accommodations.”

And as long as you’ve got your pants on.
