First National Bank supports Waterfront Preservation

    First National Bank recently announced a $2,500 donation to Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation towards the future Eastside Waterfront Park.

    Founded in 2018, Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation is a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the traditional character of the Boothbay Harbor region as well as to pursue opportunities to expand public access to the waterfront.

    The future Eastside Waterfront Park plans to attract tourism, spark economic development and serve the local community. Master plans indicate a restaurant, market café, gazebo, greenspace, public pier, restrooms, parking, a splash pad and working waterfront amenities.

    A purchase and sale agreement for Cap’n Fish’s Motel has been signed with a closing date of Nov. 1, 2019 and the organization continues to fundraise for their three-phase project.
