Dear Editor:

Towns have been canceling fireworks due to the virus and our small town is going forward? This is nonsensical, irresponsible and dangerous. Imagine the number of people from off the peninsula who hear about a display and make their way here to see it. No masks, no distancing and a potential for a serious virus spike.

The thoughtlessness of even considering fireworks given the present situation defies intelligence.
