Once again, Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation is sponsoring a Family Christmas Ornament Decorating Contest. Start planning your designs now.

Cash prizes will be awarded. Grand prize is $250 and there will be five age groups with three cash prizes in each age group.

Drive through ornament pick up will be at Brown's Wharf parking lot on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will deliver the ornament bags to your car. Ornaments are free!

If you choose to enter the contest, ornaments should be placed in a bag with entrant's name and contact information with a $5 entry fee and returned to the Elves at Brown's Wharf on Saturday, Dec. 18 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Ornaments will be judged at 3 p.m. and winners will be notified that afternoon. If you choose not to enter the contest, hang your decorated ornament on your tree at home!

Judged ornaments will be available for pick up at the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce from Monday, Dec. 20 through Thursday, December 23 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
