It’s fun for all ages! Dresden’s Summerfest is on Sunday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pownalborough Court House (23 Court House Rd., Dresden). The Spirit of America Award will be presented during the festivities.
What’s in store: music by Dresden’s own nationally famous Ken Morse and his special guests, Kevin Ridley on the Kentucky banjo and Mike Mize on acoustic guitar. There’s more entertainment by The Colonial Maine Living History Reenactors, Sing-A-Long with the Accordion Dude, and the Dresden School Jazz Band.
Take a horse drawn carriage ride with Hideaway Farms, go on a tour of the court house and adjacent nature trails, visit the goat petting zoo.
Hungry? Bring your own lunch or ... partake of the Internationally Famous Dresden Fire Department BBQ!
Proceeds from the pie judging contest will be donated to the Richmond Food Pantry.
Games for kids and adults include egg toss, hay scramble, one-legged races, and a bean bag toss. And, kids will love the face painting and balloon tying. Don’t miss the Bridge Academy Library book sale and so much more from local businesses and community groups.
Dresden Summer Fest is sponsored by Dresden Recreation Committee, Lincoln County Historical Association and the Kenyon Fund.
