The annual Summerfest event returns Sunday, July 8 at the Pownalborough Courthouse in Dresden, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sea shanties by Roll and Go, Dresden Elementary School Pep Band, Sing-A-Long with Dresden’s Accordion Dude, horse drawn carriage rides by Hideaway Farms, Andrew Silver, Strolling Variety Entertainment; The Abenaki Nation Fish River Singer performing traditional dances and songs; and Tai Chi demonstrations will all be part of the fun.
Tours of the courthouse and adjacent nature trails, a goat petting zoo; face painting and balloon tying; pie judging contest – proceeds donated to the Richmond Food Pantry; and games for kids and adults including an egg toss, hay scramble, three-legged races, bean bag toss are also in store.
You’re sure to work up an appetite so head to the Dresden Fire Department’s burger and hot dog barbeque or bring your own picnic lunch.
The Pownalborough Courthouse is at 23 Courthouse Road.
