Haddock Bites is one of several delicious choices at Whale's Tale, 125 Atlantic Ave. in Boothbay Harbor. Haddock Bites have a crisp beer-battered exterior which is nicely complimented by a moist, fluffy haddock interior.
In Southport, Robinson's Wharf, 20 Hendricks Hill Road, has a new delicious offering: Seared Sesame Tuna Wonton. This dish has sushi grade tuna with a seaweed salad, wasabi aioli and pineapple teriyaki sauce.
Brady's, 25 Union St. in Boothbay Harbor, offers a two-time award-winning appetizer. Their crab cakes received Windjammer Days' recognition in consecutive years. The crab is fresh picked and served with tomato confit and a Cajun remoulade topped with crispy haystack onions.
A new appetizer is on Boathouse Bistro's Tapas Bar and Restaurant's menu this summer. Apple Scallops has three large pan-seared scallops, crispy cornbread, apple gastrique, apple cider, sugar and apple cider vinegar. Boathouse Bistro is at 12 By-Way in Boothbay Harbor.
