Last year I began regularly attending both the planning board and select board meetings, as part of the commitment we’ve had to the Boothbay region. Different styles and ways of dealing with controversy became very clear.

I have been particularly impressed with Mike Tomko and enthusiastically support his re-election. Mike has a broad perspective about the needs of the community and always puts the public benefit first. He has extensive experience on the planning board, and then focused his energies on economic development and bringing communities together.

Equally important, Mike has the right temperament for the position. I have found him always to be even-keeled, thoughtful in entertaining different viewpoints, and respectful.

I urge you to again support Mike Tomko by re-electing him as selectman.
