The dangerous ideas of George Soros

Mon, 07/09/2018 - 4:00pm

    Dear Editor:

I had to confirm for myself what has been said about George Soros was true and I have found that he is, indeed, a dangerous man. His is responsible for insidiously undermining authoritarian rule the world over.

His shadowy front group, “The Open Society Foundations” as he calls them, has the absolute gall to insist on building, as stated in their mission, “vibrant and tolerant societies whose governments are accountable and open to the participation of all people.”

As if that were not enough, they insist on “rule of law; respect for human rights, minorities, and a diversity of opinions; democratically elected governments; and a civil society that helps keep government power in check.”

More audaciously, he seeks to “shape public policies that assure greater fairness in political, legal, and economic systems and safeguard fundamental rights.”

These ideas are an outrage to theists, plutocrats and authoritarian dictators everywhere and it is not surprising that the enemies of American democracy are vocally opposed to Mr. Soros and his dangerous ideas.
