Community Cancer Support Group welcomes patients and caregivers
MaineHealth Cancer Care invites community members to attend Living with Cancer, a free monthly support group for individuals affected by the disease. The group is open to all cancer patients and caregivers, and caregivers are welcome to attend even if the patient does not.
The group meets on the first Monday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Watson Health Center Ground Floor Community Room, located at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital, 24 Miles Center Way, Damariscotta.
MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital offers expert cancer care and IV therapy via evidence-based treatment for a wide range of cancers, blood disorders and related conditions. Services include outpatient chemotherapy, infusion therapy, cancer screening, palliative care and access to clinical trials, all supported by a team of oncology specialists, nurses and care coordinators.
The Living with Cancer group, facilitated byWendy Jackson, RNand Lori Ann, NP, offers a safe, supportive space to ask questions, share stories and learn from others who are navigating similar challenges. Guest speakers may join periodically to address topics of interest to those affected by cancer.
